What We Train People In
Wickerbys is more than a community café—we are a learning environment where people can gain practical skills, build confidence and improve their future employment prospects.
We will provide training and practical learning opportunities in several areas, with our current positions and training opportunities currently being reviewed. Please keep visiting our website and social media for updates: www.wickerbyscic.co.uk
We also support individuals who may be experiencing barriers to employment or education, helping them develop confidence, transferable skills and a positive pathway towards volunteering, apprenticeships, further education or work.
Learning Through Opportunity
We believe that the most effective learning comes through practical experience.
By providing hands-on training within a real community café, learners can develop valuable workplace skills while receiving encouragement in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
Our aim is not simply to teach people how to carry out a role, but to inspire confidence, develop independence and help people recognise their own potential.
At Wickerbys C.I.C., every person who walks through our doors is treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Whether someone is taking their first step into learning or preparing for employment, we are committed to supporting them throughout their journey.
Together, we are creating opportunities, developing skills and building stronger communities through learning. Wickerbys C.I.C. trading as Wickerbys Community Café: 17a Marketplace, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG31 6LP
